It was interesting to hear the Schoenberg on more intimate terms, and van Zweden led a passionate, excitable performance. At least to one listener,Michael Kors Outlet, though, the magic of the piece never quite materialized. It might have helped if the strings had cultivated more refinement and less sheer volume in those fortissimos.
