In episode of five of "Sleepy Hollow," "John Doe," a mysterious child, speaking the language of the middle-ages, appear. He is carrying a disease unknown to the modern science. The child's veins start turning black and soon people of the Sleepy Hollow complain about the same. The veins of Mr Ichabod also turn black and he thinks that it is a plague that will consume Sleepy Hollow, soon. He transports himself to the colony of Roanoke, which was lost from the map of the world in 1500 as the kid belongs to that lost era. In this episode, there is the fear of Horseman of Pestilence coming to Sleepy Hollow and moving to other parts if the spread of the plague that turns the veins black is not stopped. Abbie and Mr Crane are able to fix the situation. However, the fear of Horsemen of Death still lingers.
