If this is not enough to impress you, the (the world's tallest building), and (the world's most expensive racetrack) are on show in nearby Dubai. The famous also serves up what is said to be the world's most expensive cocktail.

All have been used by the transitional authorities - with varying degrees of frequency and legitimacy - to fill the security vacuum since the fall of Gaddafi.
